As a young girl growing up on the Navajo Reservation, I remembered helping my grandmother gather and dry the Navajo Tea plant. This herbal tea was then shared and enjoyed by all who stopped by her home. Its mild taste and soothing flavor made the effort to harvest it worthwhile.

When ever I drink our Traditional Navajo Tea, I can almost smell that cedar smoke and feel the comfort of knowing my extended family and having them know me. I felt connected.....connected to my family, to my Grandmother, to my culture. I felt secure.
