As a young girl growing up on the Navajo Reservation, I remembered helping my grandmother gather and dry the Navajo Tea plant. This herbal tea was then shared and enjoyed by all who stopped by her home.
I hope you have found my herbal tea to be comforting and good tasting. My Grandmother Yanabah, would have me make up a large pot on her wood burning stove when anyone came over to visit. When ever I drink our Traditional Navajo Tea, I can almost smell that cedar smoke and feel the comfort of knowing my extended family and having them know me. I felt connected.....connected to my family, to my Grandmother, to my culture. I felt secure.
